Bowen Liu is an investing partner on the Bio + Health team, focusing on early stage companies building AI-enabled technology platforms for life sciences and healthcare.
Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, Bowen worked as a ML researcher at insitro, where he helped build the small molecule drug design platform.
Bowen completed his chemistry PhD at Stanford, developing ML methods for chemistry and drug discovery applications. He grew up in New Zealand and received his BSc/BCom from The University of Auckland, majoring in Chemistry, Maths, Finance, and Accounting. Outside of work, Bowen enjoys reading, playing video games, and going on staycations with his wife.
