More About Jordan
Jordan Mazer is Head of Talent at Andreessen Horowitz for a16z Games, focused on helping portfolio companies connect with the best talent in the industry. Jordan has spent the majority of his career staffing game & game-related teams. He’s also a passionate gamer, and takes great pride in being able to support game makers focused on creating incredible experiences for players.
Prior to a16z, Jordan spent eight years at Riot Games during its explosive growth phase. While there, Jordan held many roles – including leading the Talent Acquisition function responsible for staffing all of Riot’s game & product teams such as League of Legends, VALORANT, Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and many other R&D products. Jordan subsequently led Riot’s People Operations organization, managing a global team responsible for HR systems & tech, M&A integration, contingent workforce, HR reporting & headcount forecasting, and tiered inbound support.
Jordan’s earlier career included time recruiting at a boutique technical recruiting agency, Amazon, and Scopely. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a double major in Political Science & Philosophy.
Jordan resides in Los Angeles. When he’s not working or playing games, he spends time surfing, playing poker, and attempting to take beautiful photos.
