Katy Nelson is a partner on the Go-To-Market Network team, focused on the regulated industries and fintech.
In her role, Katy leads a team of GTM partners focused on the firm’s American Dynamism, Enterprise, and Fintech portfolios, providing advisory on GTM strategy across the regulated industries while building a global network across these sectors to accelerate time to revenue for the a16z portfolio.
Before joining Andreessen Horowitz, Katy spent 18 years in business development and sales leadership roles. She was most recently at Gartner, where she led a global sales team and focused on technology consulting in the global banking, financial services, and insurance sectors. Previously, she led a sales organization at LexisNexis, bringing the company’s first SaaS risk solutions products to market in the regulated industries and government sector. Katy began her career as a consultant at Accenture, where she was focused on digital transformation and growth priorities with Fortune 500 clients.
Katy graduated from NYU Stern with a business degree and holds master’s certificates in strategy and innovation from MIT Sloan School of Business and in general management from Harvard Business School. She lives with her family in the New York City area.
