Lisa Mares is a partner on the Go-to-Market team, where she handles operations related to the Executive Briefing Center in Menlo Park.
With over a decade of experience in operations, portfolio and event management in the venture capital and tech industries, Lisa is focused on the GTM network team’s functions, helping connect a16z’s vast corporate network with our portfolio companies by way of curated Executive Briefings. a16z’s Executive Briefing Center brings corporate executives and government leaders together with talented entrepreneurs and technology companies driving the next wave of innovation.
Lisa grew up in San Francisco, California. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership at the University of San Francisco. She went on to complete her Masters in Business Administration in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and lived in Europe for a few years. When Lisa is not managing Executive Briefings, you can find her teaching yoga, Zumba, and salsa around the globe. Lisa loves traveling with her family to exotic locations. Tasting wine is one of her biggest passions, as she is also a certified sommelier.
