More About Peter
Peter Chan is the senior accountant in Finance for a16z crypto, responsible for booking journal entries into the finance software system, preparing reports that assist in preparation of financial statements for quarterly and annual reporting, and assisting with documentation in accordance with US GAAP.
Prior to joining a16z crypto in 2021, Peter was an investment operations accountant for The Hewlett Foundation, a large private foundation that supports non-profit institutions, where he focused on operations and fund accounting for their investment portfolio. Before that, he was a tax accountant with Moss Adams, a mid-sized Public Accounting firm.
Peter enjoys spending time with his family in his free time, occupied by two young children and also rooting for his favorite NFL team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
