ABOUT CONNECT/FINTECH 2025
a16zConnect/Fintech is a multi-day, invitation-only retreat hosted by Andreessen Horowitz that brings together leaders from technology and financial services.
Now in its fourth year, a16zConnect/Fintech provides a rare opportunity for public company CEOs, startup founders, and public market investors to deepen connections and create new partnerships, while exploring the future of fintech.

Mason Morfit is a Partner, co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of ValueAct Capital, a governance-oriented investment fund with over $10 billion in assets under management. ValueAct Capital invests in a concentrated portfolio of 10-15 companies and works constructively to help recruit executives, develop business strategies, optimize capital structures and execute mergers & acquisitions. The partners at ValueAct Capital have served on the Boards of Directors of 47public companies. The firm also has the flexibility to execute going-private transactions for 100% control in select circumstances.
Mr. Morfit is a director of Salesforce, where he serves on the Transformation Committee. Mr. Morfit has previously served as a director of Microsoft Corporation, Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, CR Bard, Inc., Immucor, Inc., Advanced Medical Optics, Solexa, Inc. and MSD Performance, Inc.
Mr. Morfit has lectured on issues of corporate governance and executive compensation at Stanford Law School’s Director’s College, the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, Mr. Morfit is a member of the Advisory Council for Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. He has a B.A. in political economy from Princeton University.
Mikheil is a co-founder and CEO of Kaspi.kz.
Kaspi.kz’s mission is to improve people’s lives by developing innovative mobile products and services. The company operates a unique two-sided Super App model – the Kaspi.kz Super App for consumers and the Kaspi Pay Super App for merchants. Through these Super Apps consumers and merchants can access leading Marketplace, Payments, Fintech and Government services. Kaspi.kz has been listed on Nasdaq since January 2024.
Mikheil received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the European School of Management in Georgia in 1997 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2002. He is a member of Harvard Business School’s Middle East & North Africa Advisory Board.

Event Overview
We are bringing together our top entrepreneurs and leaders in the industry in a relaxed environment to learn from the best of the best. The invite list is closely curated, and we are creating a safe space to connect and share ideas. The conversations will be friendly. No media will be in attendance.
This is an exclusive gathering for a16z fintech portfolio company founders, public market investors, and valued leaders from our network. We expect roughly 100 attendees. Attendance is by invitation only.
Given limited capacity, this event is closed to spouses/partners. Spouses are welcome to access the spa, pool, gym and all other property amenities during their stay. Unfortunately, spouses will not be able to join any programming sessions, meals, or event activities.

Lodging & Transportation
a16z will provide group ground transportation between Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and St. Regis Deer Valley on March 5th through March 7th based on shared flight information. The SLC airport is approximately a 50-minute ride to the hotel. As the event approaches an email will be sent to collect your flight details. Please make sure to share your flight details if you’d like to be included in our group transportation.
Your registration confirmation ensures that your lodging at the St. Regis Deer Valley for a16zConnect/Fintech is reserved. a16z will cover the nightly room rate and tax for March 5th and March 6th. Guests will be responsible for any additional nights and incidental costs incurred during their stay. If you are checking in early or extending your stay, we cannot guarantee our room rate of $860/night but will be happy to reach out on your behalf to check availability and pricing.
Please refer to the Agenda section on the website to see the latest program. Please allow for enough time to arrive before the program starts at 5:30pm MT on Wednesday, March 5th. Onsite registration opens at 4pm MT. To allow ample time at the airport prior to departure flight, plan to leave the hotel 2.5 hours before your flight.
