Brandon Cherry is a partner on the People Practices team, focused on compensation philosophy and strategy. Before joining Andreessen Horowitz, he led internal compensation and leadership development for a late-stage startup. Prior to that role, he worked in consulting for over 20 years, helping companies align their business strategy with their people and compensation programs. Brandon graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He grew up in a remote fishing village in Alaska where he worked summers for the Department of Fish and Game estimating fish populations in various rivers.
