More About Carissa
Carissa is the head of community at Andreessen Horowitz focused on the firm’s community strategy and management.
Prior to joining a16z, Carissa ran her own executive coaching business, coaching CEOs, founders, operators, and full teams across a range of tech companies. Before that, she was a GM at Getaround managing their largest region, the SF Bay Area. Previously, she started her career in recruiting at Google and Meta, then as the first employee at a series of startups.
She lives in Los Angeles, so she can surf each morning before work. When she’s not surfing or building communities, you can find Carissa cycling in the Santa Monica mountains, lifting heavy weights, or petting your dog.
