About
Katia Ameri is a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, focused on a16z speedrun Alpha. She founded Tech Week and spearheads Alpha, the fellowship program investing in highly technical founders at the earliest stages.
Before a16z, Katia was the first hire on the investment team at Pear VC before founding her own startup studio, which raised $2M+ from Pear, Sweet Capital, GFC, and others. She leverages her startup experience to help founders go from zero to one. Katia holds a B.S. degree from Stanford University and is a LA native.
