Maya Rahkonen is a partner at Andreessen Horowitz focused on marketing for the Growth team.
Since joining a16z in 2018, Maya has owned corporate communications and worked closely with the Bio + Health and Enterprise teams and portfolio, advising on brand marketing and communications. She also launched Scott Kupor’s book, Secrets of Sand Hill Road: Venture Capital and How to Get It.
Prior to a16z, Maya managed communications at WiFi hardware startup eero, which was acquired by Amazon. She started her career at The OutCast Agency where she partnered with startups and publicly-traded technology companies.
Maya graduated with a BA in communication from Washington State University and is a backcountry and downhill skier, hiker, Seattle Sounders soccer fan, and “cat person.”
