Steph Smith is the host of the a16z podcast, focused on highlighting the most important trends within technology.
Before joining Andreessen Horowitz, Steph led HubSpot’s Creator Program, including their growing Podcast Network. Prior to that, she worked at The Hustle—one of the world’s largest business and tech newsletters—where she built up their paid product Trends to millions in ARR, before the company was acquired by HubSpot.
In her free time, Steph loves to build her own projects online, from writing her book Doing Content Right to launching several websites that topped Product Hunt, after teaching herself to code. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University and despite being a proud Canadian, decided to “escape winter” and has worked remotely since 2016 across more than 50 countries.
