Bing Wong is a partner at a16z Perennial where he leads the private equity fund.
Prior to joining a16z Perennial, Bing was a Managing Director at Macquarie Asset Management, a global asset manager with more than $450 billion in assets. At Macquarie, he worked across both private equity and infrastructure investing and led the investment strategy and process for a newly launched private markets platform. Bing also served as an Investment Committee (IC) member and partnered with the Corporate Development team as a senior thought leader. Previously, Bing was at Pantheon, a global private markets investment firm managing over $80 billion in assets, where he focused on sourcing, evaluating, and underwriting private equity investment transactions. He began his career as a management consultant working with technology clients.
Bing graduated with dual degrees in Business Administration (Haas) and Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley.
