More About Deborah
Deborah Embaie is a partner on the Cultural Leadership Fund focused on growing the firm’s relationships across the sports industry by connecting the world’s greatest professional athletes and sports figures to the best new technology companies.
Prior to joining a16z, Deborah was an athlete manager at Roc Nation Sports where she managed the careers of numerous professional players across the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Deb also served as an adjunct professor at American University, teaching sports and entertainment marketing courses for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Deb earned a BA in management and marketing from Holy Names University and an MPA in public administration and management from New York University. She loves to attend live music showcases and spend time with her family, friends, and her beagle, Zuma.
