Michael King is a partner on the Go-To-Market Network team, advising on go-to-market strategy across the portfolio.
Before joining Andreessen Horowitz, Michael built and ran full-stack marketing teams for companies like VMware, IBM, and Neopoint. He was the first product marketing hire and built the product marketing teams at both GitHub and Appcelerator. Before that, Michael spent 11 years as a Gartner analyst after building and running teams of sales engineers and RF drive test engineers.
He currently lives in San Diego with his wife and 2 kids, where they spend their time surfing and hiking. In a past life, he was a sound engineer and built stages and systems still in use today.
