David Garcia is a partner on the Investor Relations team.
Prior to joining a16z, David was on the client and capital formation team at TPG, a global alternative asset manager with over $135 billion in assets under management. There, he was responsible for cross-platform marketing and due diligence. Before that, he served as the director of investor relations at IFC where he managed client relations and marketing.
David graduated with degrees in biochemistry and microbial biotechnology, as well as an MBA, from North Carolina State University. In his spare time, he enjoys making music, skateboarding, and spending time with his wife and their two French bulldogs, Bruno and Hercules.
