Phil Hathaway is the COO of Andreessen Horowitz where he leads the finance, strategy, accounting, tax, and security teams across the firm.
Prior to joining a16z, Phil held various executive roles in enterprise and consumer software companies, primarily focused on strategy, finance, and M&A, at VMware, Microsoft, Skype, and Dolby Laboratories.
Phil graduated with a BA from Pomona College and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management. He is a proud native of Seattle but now considers the Bay Area his home, where he enjoys running, skiing and golfing.
