Josh Lu is an Investment Partner at Andreessen Horowitz for a16z speedrun. a16z speedrun supports entrepreneurs building in tech, entertainment, and AI. In his role, he’s focused on studios and the intersection between games and social applications.

Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, Josh was the Product Group Lead and Product Management Director for Horizon Worlds at Meta and oversaw the launch of their flagship metaverse product. Before Meta, Josh spent more than a decade in the games industry, most recently as VP Product/Publishing/Analytics at Blizzard Entertainment and Head of Product Management at Zynga.

Josh holds a dual BA in Economics and Diplomacy & World Affairs from Occidental College. He enjoys spending time working with education-focused nonprofits by serving on the Board of Advisors for Carina Initiatives and as the Board Chair at Astra. He’s also an avid cook/baker, basketball player, and lucky dad of two girls.
