Lejla Johnsen is an investing partner at Andreessen Horowitz for a16z speedrun.
Prior to joining a16z, Lejla worked on Wall Street. She began her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where she focused on financial institutions. She later spent four years on the buy side, investing across industries, capital structure, and the life cycles of companies.
Lejla moved to the U.S. from Bosnia and Herzegovina when she was 16 to attend Deerfield Academy. Lejla holds a BA in Economics from Harvard with a minor in History and Spanish. Having lived in a post-communist society, Lejla is passionate about why the U.S. must lead with strength for a free and safe world. In her free time, Lejla loves spending time with her niece and nephew and is an avid swimmer and skier.
