Peter Salamon is a manager on the a16z Perennial team focused on analytical systems and data infrastructure.
Peter focuses on the development and deployment of analytical systems for a16z Perennial. Peter blends data science and finance to develop tools the team uses in the course of investing and client engagement. Prior to joining, Peter was a senior data analyst at OptionMetrics, LLC, where he developed analytical infrastructure, including databases and interfaces, for equities and options trading and analysis. During his time at OptionMetrics, Peter modernized the firm’s systems and integrated new datasets to expand the company’s product offering.
Peter earned a BA and MA degree in statistics and applied mathematics from The City University of New York, Hunter College.
