More About Phil
Phil Wong is a partner on the Legal and Compliance team focused on venture and growth investments and portfolio companies.
Prior to joining a16z, Phil practiced corporate law at Wilson Sonsini and Cooley where he advised high growth companies and venture capital firms on a range of transactions, including formation, venture financings, initial public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. Before that, he was a forensic accountant at KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Phil graduated with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting from University of Southern California, and earned his J.D. from Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law. He is a certified public accountant in California. In his spare time, Phil enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and watching home improvement shows on HGTV.
