Aya Tanaka is the director of capital formation and global partnerships at Andreessen Horowitz focused on growing the firm's LP network and ecosystem in the APAC region.
Aya brings over a decade of experience in institutional asset management. Prior to a16z, she worked at Blackstone and Wellington Management where covered a broad spectrum of capital markets including private equity, real assets, hedge funds, and traditional assets.
Aya received an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Economics from Kobe University, Japan. She is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
