Jessica Leão is a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz in the American Dynamism practice, where she invests in companies that support the national interest. Her focus spans semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, defense, space, energy, and supply chain.
She was previously a Partner at Decibel Partners, where she led early-stage investments across hardware and software infrastructure, including Unconventional AI. Before Decibel, she was on the ventures team at Maverick Capital, backing semiconductor and infrastructure companies like MosaicML and Atomic Semi. Before investing, Jess began her career at Palantir Technologies as a Forward Deployed Engineer, working on Gotham, the company's government platform.
Jess earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Born and raised in Brazil, she immigrated to the United States for university and is today a proud American citizen.
