About
Christian Keil is a partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where he invests as part of the firm’s American Dynamism practice.
Prior to joining a16z, Christian was an executive at Astranis, where he built and launched geostationary communications satellites — making him perhaps the only venture capitalist ever to buy a dedicated Falcon 9 rocket. Christian led finance, government relations, marketing, recruiting, and other business functions as the company scaled from $0 to over $1 billion in sales, from 50 to 500 people, and from an R&D shop to an aerospace-grade factory.
Christian spent his early career as a management consultant at Deloitte, and earned degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of California, Berkeley. Christian lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children, who both want to be astronauts when they grow up.
