More About Tom
Tom Hammer is a partner on the People Practices team.
Before joining a16z, he led people and recruiting for Bird Rides through a period of rapid expansion. Before that, his team at Riot Games built performance and development programs for employees globally. He also served as an HRBP and category account manager at Procter & Gamble.
Tom earned an MBA, MA, and BSBA from Ohio State University while serving as a recruiter for the varsity football program. He currently serves as a board member for SF Goodwill, and enjoys playing volleyball and 90’s Squaresoft RPGs.
