More About Caroline
Caroline Horn is a partner on the Talent Network team, focused on executive talent. She also oversees the Andreessen Horowitz Director’s College On Demand program, which prepares under-represented board-ready executives for board service with VC-backed companies.
Prior to joining a16z in 2012, Caroline spent over 7 years at Google as an executive recruiting manager building global leadership teams in engineering, product management, and sales and marketing. Before that, Caroline founded and ran a hiring consultancy for technology clients and, earlier, worked at Sapient, where she built out the company’s executive recruiting function on the west coast and served on the founding team of the company’s Tokyo office. She began her career in executive search at a retained executive search firm in San Francisco.
Caroline graduated with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Dartmouth College. She serves on the board of System1 and is an advisor at Strava. She’s also an avid trail runner, skier, and scuba diver.
