More About Marco

Marco Mascorro is a partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where he invests in AI infrastructure companies. He joined the firm in early 2023, and his investments include Cursor, Thinking Machines, Black Forest Labs, and WaveForms AI.

Marco is a roboticist. Prior to joining the firm, he cofounded Fellow AI, a company pioneering autonomous robots and computer vision for logistics automation working with the largest retailers, warehouses, and factories. Before that, he joined Singularity University’s faculty at the NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley, where he was an AI and Robotics Teaching Fellow, working with Ray Kurzweil and Peter Diamandis to research and study the rapid advancement of AI.

He has also worked at BMW on new vehicle design, with some of his designs appearing in the 2014 MINI Cooper series. Prior to that, he worked in Japan on robotics research related to the Fukushima nuclear accident, as well as on autonomous robots for people with disabilities.

Marco lives in San Francisco, and when he’s not working with founders or training AI models, he can be found in his SF robotics lab playing with robots.
