Zane Lackey is a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where he focuses on DevOps, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure. He serves on the board of Doppel, Sprig, and Socket. He is a board observer at Arcjet, Beeps, Promptfoo, Adaptive Security, Keycard Labs, North Pole Security, and Tenex AI.
Zane was previously the cofounder and chief security officer of Signal Sciences, which was acquired by Fastly for $775 million in 2020. Prior to Signal Sciences, he led security and infrastructure teams as the CISO of Etsy and started his career as an early security consultant at iSEC Partners. He is also the author of Building a Modern Security Program.
Zane holds a BA in Economics with a minor in Computer Science from UC Davis.
