Malika Aubakirova is an investor on the AI Infrastructure team at a16z, dedicated to identifying and supporting groundbreaking technologies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure. Malika has a background spanning backend systems, frontend development, and site reliability engineering, where she specialized in creating scalable, secure, and resilient software solutions. Prior to joining a16z, Malika led engineering initiatives at Chronicle Security (formerly part of X and now integrated within Google Cloud), where she played a pivotal role in launching products such as Chronicle Detect.

Malika earned her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated with honors from the University of Chicago, holding a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Economics. She is passionate about investing in and collaborating with pioneering teams that are building innovative, secure, and scalable platforms shaping the future landscape of AI infrastructure and cybersecurity.
