Dylan is a data scientist at Andreessen Horowitz focused on developing internal software tooling and automated processes.
Prior to a16z, Dylan was co-founder and CTO of Knowhere, a news analysis and publishing house that developed generative machine learning models to analyze and generate trustworthy news content, serving several million subscribers in the US with daily national and local coverage. Before that, he worked on natural language and computer vision problems in quantitative finance, advertising auctions, and e-commerce as well as stints at educational and archival non-profits OpenEdX and LOCKSS.
Dylan pursued undergraduate and graduate studies in computer science focused on AI at Stanford. He is an avid student of classical history and paleoanthropology, speaks several languages, and enjoys snowboarding and playing chess.
