About

Hitoshi Yoshida is the Head of Japan at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). He brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience at leading technology companies, building a strong track record of driving change and delivering business success.

Prior to joining a16z, Hitoshi served as President and Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Japan, where he was responsible for leading Microsoft’s overall business and accelerating transformation in both private and public sectors. Before that, he was President of Hewlett-Packard Japan from 2015 to 2019, where he helped build a strong ecosystem of partners and customers. Other experiences include Managing Director, North Asia of SAS Institute, President of SAS Institute Japan, President of Cambridge Technology Partners Japan, and business development at ITOCHU Corporation internationally. He is also a Value Accelerator Advisor for Goldman Sachs, and holds Board Director and Strategic Advisor positions for companies globally.

Hitoshi holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, as well as a bachelor's degree from Tufts University.
